Public Education Advocates of Lancaster County
Our Guiding Principles
Supporting public schools and public education.
Support increasing the adequacy and equity of resources in education for all students (pre-school through post-secondary training), which would allow all students to have the opportunity to flourish now and in the future.
Acknowledge the importance of and financial support for early childhood and infant to toddler care. Make sure barriers for high quality care are removed to support not just families, but our county-wide workforce.
Remove barriers and ensure affirming spaces for students in Lancaster County who are marginalized or disadvantaged, whether due to race, class, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender, ability, religion, or any other identification.
Our First Meeting
Our first conference was held on July 28, 2022. It was a successful meeting and we were able to bring together different groups from throughout Lancaster County. Individual Community organizations were able to exchange thoughts, ideas and strategies. We are hoping to continue these discussions to strengthen public education for the wellbeing of our county.
